The Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for individuals ready to become the next leaders of the community. The Chamber is now accepting application for its 2009-2010 Leadership Rocklin class.
Since its establishment in 2003, Leadership Rocklin has produced many graduates who have emerged as leaders in the community. Through the program, they have been given the skills to give back to the community by holding leadership positions.
The training curriculum will include history of Rocklin as well as presentations by city and county leaders addressing important issues, including education, volunteerism, public safety, transportation, regional issues, and economic development.
Selected individuals will participate in a Leadership class every third Thursday of the month, starting in September. The sessions run from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., with a continental breakfast and lunch provided. The program lasts 10 months and graduation is June 2010.
To be eligible, applicants must live or work in the city of Rocklin. They do not have to be a member of the Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce. Participants will be interviewed as part of the selection process. Class size is limited.
The Leadership Rocklin Program is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Drexel University. You can visit Drexel University on line at: http://drexel.edu/sacramento
